High fives for firefighters

CELEBRATING: After fire fighters completed the Jaws of Life demonstration children who were gathered around to watch congratulated the firefighters on a job well done by giving them high fives.

IN THE DRIVER’S SEAT: Xander Roberts got to climb on top of a fire truck on Saturday during the Fire Safety Day.

SAVING LIVES: One of the most popular events during the Fire Safety Day last Saturday was the Jaws of Life demonstration which drew a large crowd.

READY TO RIDE: Gabriel Rodriguez was one of many children who got to sit on one of the police department’s motorcycles on Saturday.

After being canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Warwick Fire Department hosted its annual Fire Safety Day on Saturday. The hundreds of families and community members in attendance got to check out the fire trucks, watch a live “jaws of life” demonstration and interact with first responders among other things.
