Suzanne Elda Holmes, (neé Laurence) passed away on June 26, 2024, in Chandler, Arizona. She was 80.
She is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Gilbert, who passed away on March 10th of this year. She is survived by her sister Janet, and her children Jacqueline Nieto, Katherine Krishnan, Jeffrey, and 7 grandchildren.
Suzanne was born on September 24, 1943, and was a native of West Warwick, Rhode Island. She was the first in her family to earn a college degree which was a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Arizona State University.
She started her own business preparing taxes after working for an accountant and H&R Block. After several years and further certifications, she added financial planning for her clients.
Suzanne was best known for the value she placed on education- especially because she earned her degree while her children were in high school. But most of all, she loved her grandchildren and even travelled to Thailand to see 3 of them when they were born.
Funeral services will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Church on July 11, 2024, at 10:30a.m. Contributions in her name may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
