Lincoln Smith of the Lakewood Baptist was the organizer behind the drive-thru and donation drive Saturday in the church parking lot. A total of 923 pounds of food were delivered to the Westbay Marketplace run by Westbay Community Action. Cash donations of more than $2,000 went to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. With temperatures dipping into the 20s Smith and his crew were bundled up for the drive. Donors got to stay warm in their vehicles. In these images Smith weighs food and Janelle O’Brien has a handful of cereals while properly distanced Cecily Douthit lowers her mask to carry a bag of food to the truck that made the run to Westbay Marketplace on Monday. Scouts from Troop 49 assisted, as did Bob Smith, Pastor Ron Provencal, Doug and Lianne Ray and Donna Smith. (Warwick Beacon photos)
