Lincoln Smith of the Lakewood Baptist was the organizer behind the drive-thru and donation drive Saturday in the church parking lot. A total of 923 pounds of food were delivered to the Westbay Marketplace run by Westbay Community Action. Cash donations of more than $2,000 went to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. With temperatures dipping into the 20s Smith and his crew were bundled up for the drive. Donors got to stay warm in their vehicles.
