Christopher Kilpert, age 75, of Warwick, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Kent Hospital. Born in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Theodore and Maryann (Bednerick) Kilpert. He was the treasured husband of Lorraine (Brodeur) Kilpert, with whom he would have celebrated 53 years of marriage on August 14th.

Chris proudly and honorably served in the United States Navy as a Seabee and completed his 8 years of service, 2 of which were active duty. An electrician by trade, he was a 50-year member of IBEW Local #3 in New York, where he lived before moving to Rhode Island. Involved in his community, Chris was a member of the Knights of Columbus for many years, served as a Boy Scout troop leader while his son Michael climbed the ranks, and was a Past President of Elm Park Community Association in New York. He also volunteered and donated a great deal of time to the Seabee Museum and Memorial Park. Known as “W1KMA” as a Ham Radio operator, Chris found great enjoyment from his favorite hobby. He was always ready to crack a joke and had a great sense of humor. He will be missed deeply by his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son: Michael C. Kilpert of Warwick, RI; two brothers-in-law: Ronald P. Brodeur and Robert P. Brodeur and his wife Deborah; one sister-in-law: Sandra Brodeur; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law: Philip Brodeur.
