New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) Master of Public Health (MPH) program was granted a five-year specialized accreditation by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) at its meeting in June 2023. The CEPH is an independent agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit schools of public health and programs in public health, including those offered via distance education, at the baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral levels. CEPH assures quality in public health education to promote excellence in practice, research, and service in the field.

The Master of Public Health program is a flexible online program which is ideal for the working professional seeking career advancement in public health and can be completed in less than two years. This multidisciplinary program includes public health science with management courses to build the skills needed to oversee, plan, evaluate, and improve population health programs and initiatives.

A New England Tech MPH graduate is prepared to assess community needs, design prevention programs, write grants, develop policy, conduct research, prepare data briefs, form partnerships, and identify community resources to promote healthy behaviors. These skills are needed in a variety of settings such as government, community organizations, health insurance companies, hospitals, advocacy entities, environmental justice organizations, higher education, private and nonprofit organizations, and wellness and employee assistance programs
