Centreville Bank has been recognized as “Rhode Island’s Best Small Bank” by Newsweek magazine as part of their inaugural “America’s Best Banks 2021” ranking.
Newsweek partnered with LendingTree, an online loan marketplace and comparison site for financial services, for this first-ever “Best Banks” ranking.
Over 2,500 FDIC-insured institutions in the United States, and their savings and checking account product offerings were reviewed using 55 separate factors. These factors covered a wide variety of fees, current and historical interest rates, account terms, consumer service features, mobile app satisfaction and bank profile. This analysis led to choosing a best-in-class option in 19 categories, including the best big and small banks in every state. The best small bank in each state had less than $10 billion in assets.
“We are very proud to be recognized as the best small bank in Rhode Island, particularly during these challenging times,” said Harold M. Horvat, President, CEO and Chairman of the Board. “Our entire staff shares in this honor as they work tirelessly to meet the needs of our customers and the communities we serve; I’m thankful for their dedication. Our entire organization is humbled by this award and motivated to continue to deliver financial services that have a positive impact on people’s lives.”
