Outpatient center sets egg hunt for children with special needs

Posted

On Saturday, April 1st, at 12:00 p.m., the Spaulding Outpatient Center of Kent Hospital’s Providence location (100 Butler Dr, Providence, RI) will host a complimentary Easter egg hunt for children with special needs. The rehabilitation center, along with many local organizations, planned the special Easter egg hunt for the enjoyment of children with special needs and their families.

The event will be held at the Spaulding Outpatient Center of Kent Hospital Providence at its newest facility, on the Butler Hospital campus. There will be games, Easter Bunny and Princess photo opportunities, face painting, crafts, refreshments, and a light lunch available for participants beginning at 12:00 p.m., with the hunt commencing sharply at 1:00 p.m.

“We are truly excited to be hosting this event for the second time. Our goal is to ensure the Easter egg hunt is accessible and fun for every child. At last year’s event, we received so many positive comments from the children and their parents.  They said how much fun their child had interacting with the princesses, how many eggs they found, and how they loved the prizes they won.  It put smiles on everyone’s faces to see them having such an amazing time,” said Luke Davis, the Regional Director of Spaulding Rehab Services at Care New England.
