The Johnston Panthers 12U football team got off to a very slow start, losing its first two games of the season. Head coach Bob Kennedy and assistant coaches Riggins Jones, Bob Enright and Rico and Buster Perrault knew going into this season that it would be a challenge. Half of the team had never played before, making it tough to get in sync with the seasoned veterans. Hard work, two-hour practices four days a week and constant reassurance by the coaches has led this team to its impressive 6-2 record. They are now heading into the playoffs with the hopes of playing in the Super Bowl.
