Joseph Rossi, a longtime maintenance worker for the Providence Civic Center, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024, just days shy of his 82nd birthday. Born in Providence, he was one of four children born to the late Albert and Eugenia (Pullano) Rossi. Joseph was the brother of Lucille Ford of Duxbury, MA and the late Henry Rossi and Albert Rossi; cherished ‘Uncle Joe’ of Diane, Lisa, Carole, Julie, Christine, Stephanie, Michael and Mark and two great-nieces and two great-nephews.
A man with a big heart, Joe will always be remembered for the kindness and care he expressed towards children with disabilities. His outgoing personality lent himself to a great circle of friends that he enjoyed going to outdoor concerts and socializing with. He loved biking, going to the gym and fastidiously taking care of his truck that was his prized possession.
A Visitation will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 8-9am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Paul Church, One St. Paul Place, Cranston. Burial will immediately follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hasbro Children’s Hospital, 593 Eddy St. Providence, RI 02902 will be appreciated.
