The weather cooperated Saturday for the Gaspee Days Block Party in Pawtuxet Park after unseasonably cool temperatures, wind and rain forced its postponement on Memorial Day weekend. In fact, it was such a switch in weather that attendees sought refuge in the shade. To the music of Sundance, people lounged on blankets and lawn chairs, glad to be outside without masks, talking with friends and pausing to get something to eat or drink. Gaspee festivities continued that night with fireworks at Salter Grove Park.
