Hoxsie School held graduation ceremonies June 23 for fifth graders who received their certificates before an enthusiastic group of family and friends. Principal Gary McCombs moderated and brought greeting recalling highlights of the year and in particular the school’s float in the Gaspee Days Parade that was recognized as the “Most Patriotic.” Following the Pledge of Allegiance, the class repeated the school’s code to be “responsible, respectful, caring, fair and trustworthy citizen to be ready to work hard and make Hoxsie School a safe and comfortable place for everyone.” (Warwick Beacon photos)
