The Pilgrim Senior Center is usually hopping on St. Patrick’s Day with plenty of music, Irish step dancers and a corned beef and cabbage lunch. This year was different although thanks to a contribution from Senator Michael McCaffrey the festivities went on…only virtually. The day’s agenda included a video performance of the Damhsa Irish Step Dancers, performances by the Pilgrim Theater Group and Pilgrim Poetry Club, a raffle and music by Ron Giorgio. Lunches for those who picked them up included corned beef sandwiches and, appropriately, shamrock-shaped cookies with green icing. Here Arline Cusick, left, picks up a lunch for her home bound friend Kathy Preiss. She is joined by Linda Vaillant who introduced her companion, Nipper. Linda was sure to add, “Nipper doesn’t nip.” (Warwick Beacon photo)
