After having operated from Cranston for the past 36 years The Travel Connection has a new home at 1265 R Post Road. Susan Rezendes of Warwick has owned the business for the last 16 years. Working along side her has been Debbie Stubbs, office manager. The agency offering a range of travel services specializes in destination weddings and excursions of groups of people. Rezendes said the pandemic presented the agency with multiple challenges as groups and individuals were forced to cancel their plans and The Travel Connection was faced with recovering deposits and losing commissions. She said the business is returning. The company bought the office, at one time a hobby shop, and in addition to interior renovations has built an outdoor reception area where customers and guests can make their travel plans. Mayor Frank Picozzi snipped the ribbon for the official opening June 21. (Warwick Beacon photos)
