The intersection of West Shore Road and Buttonwoods Avenue has been the site for a wide range of displays since the pandemic started almost two years ago. It started out with cardboard cutouts of political figures and celebrities and has evolved into patriotic displays and even a snowman. The creator, Jack Black, has proved elusive to contact for a story. According to Col. Bradford Connor, Black has complied when asked to remove displays hanging over or blocking the sidewalk. There have been no complaints since December and, besides, who could argue with wishes for a happy Valentines? The display remained up Wednesday, but relocated to poles on the north side of West Shore Road. (Warwick Beacon photo)
