Special education group recognizes Dr. Leslie Brow for her leadership

Dr. Leslie Brow was recently named the recipient of the Association of Rhode Island Administrators of Special Education (ARIASE)  2023 Administrator of Special Education Award.

The annual award recognizes a current Rhode Island Special Education Administrator who exemplifies exceptional leadership, exemplary professionalism andA actively contributes to the Association of RI Administrators of Special Education (ARIASE).

Dr. Brow received her award at the association’s general membership meeting where Rhode Island’s Commissioner of Education, Angela Infante-Green attended to make the announcement.

With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Brow’s most recent endeavor had her transforming the educational programs, practices, curriculum development and personnel development at the Sargent Rehabilitation Center in Warwick. In recognition of her hard work at the center she was quickly elevated to the position of Executive Vice President.

Aside from Aher accomplishments and recently receiving her Doctorate through Johnson & Wales University this past year, she has also participated in statewide panels, she has been a driving force in the Doug Flutie Foundation to advance autism acceptance, she is highly involved in the ARIASE Mentoring Program, and served as  President of RIAPSES.
