Henry Brown is a man who keeps his eye on time and events. He’s written several books and is keen on recording local history whether it be that of Gaspee or other Warwick neighborhoods. He’s one of the originals of the Gaspee Days celebration and a regular when it comes to celebrating Arbor Day. Trees are another of his passions. It’s no wonder he is the city historian. And it’s no wonder that Roger Hudson and a group of friends would celebrate his 91st birthday Thursday at O’Rourke’s in Pawtuxet. Actually, his birthday is Dec. 23, but with the forecast of a stormy day, Roger and friends did some strategic timing of their own. (Photo courtesy of Roger Hudson)
