The former Citizens Bank building on Sockanosset Cross Road in Cranston is one of two statewide Covid vaccination clinics to open last week. The second clinic is being operated out of the Dunk in Providence. Run by the Rhode Island National Guard, the Cranston clinic administrated more than 2,000 shots on Friday. Appointments for persons over 65 can be made on the state Department of Health website. Among those arriving for a shot Friday was Stephanie Powell, former editor of the Cranston Herald. She was impressed by the efficiency of the operation, saying there was a minimum wait and she was in and out in les than a half hour. There is ample parking behind the building.
