On Tuesday, July 8th, the Warwick Wolves had their final track meet of the season, the Hershey Park qualifier, at Rhode Island College in Providence.
The team’s boys and girls, whose ages range from nine to 13 years old, competed in the 100 meter, 200 meter, 400 meter, 800 meter and standing broad jump.
Some of the Wolves’ standouts at this meet were Hannah Fidas, who competed in the 200 meter run, Sakeena Khan, who competed in the 400 meter run and won her heat, William Friel, who ran the 400 meter race, Caitlyn McNamara, who ran the 100 meter race and Jamie Suttles, who ran the 400 meters. Other outstanding competitors were Taylor Harwood, and Annabelle and Cheyenne Sisson.
The organization would like to thank volunteer coaches coach Tom Dolce, coach Toni Anderson, coach Melanie Brunelle – a Pilgrim student – coach Michelle Fidas and coach Mike Daniels. Each donated their time to make the Warwick Wolves a fun and exciting program.
Track season may be over, but Warwick Wolves Cross Country begins again in September. Go to Warwickwolves.net for more information and to sign up. (Submitted photo)
