Gerald Francis Charnley, 84, of Warwick, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024. He was the loving husband of the late Claudia J. (Whitehead) Charnley. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Hughes) Charnley.
Gerald proudly served in the United States Army Reserves from 1957-1965 and worked as a Sales Representative for S&H Greenstamps Inc., Arrow Transportation, and the Warwick Beacon. He was a faithful communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Apponaug.
He is survived by his daughters, Carolyn B. Charnley (Bruce Day) of Warwick, and Susan J. Moore (John) of Warwick, his brother, Kenneth Charnley (Donna) of Attleboro, MA, and his niece and best friend, Lynne A. Taylor of Warwick.
He was the brother of the late John “Jack” Charnley.
His Funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 8:30AM from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00AM at St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Warwick.
Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 4:00PM-7:00PM.
