Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Hope that acquired the former St. Francis of Assisi Church and School on Jefferson Boulevard for $1.6 million earlier this year will open with seminars and orientation on Friday and classes Monday. The classical high school will start with ninth and tenth grades and a total enrollment of 15 students. Bishop Hendricken High School graduate, Robert Duffy Ph.D. is headmaster. Duffy, 32, received a B.A. in Philosophy and Humanities from Villanova University and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Fordham University, He and his family live in Gaspee Plateau.
