The pre-Christmas storm that left airline passengers stranded across the country and delivered high winds and seas to Warwick washed out the southerly dirt road extension of Sea View Drive in Oakland Beach. Barriers have been erected to prevent motorists from attempting to navigate road. Mayor Frank Picozzi said Tuesday the Department of Public Works is assessing repairs although given the rise in sea level and the increased frequency of storms whether it is advisable.
