Wayne Douglas Wilcox, 71, of Warwick, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of the late Janet Ellen (Newell) Wilcox for thirty-four years. Born in Warwick, he was the son of the late Russell O. and Evelyn (Gay) Wilcox.
He was the brother of the late Rosalind Wilcox, Joan M. Wilcox, and Dawn Tranbarger and surviving brother, Russell “Hollywood” Wilcox, Jr. of Warwick.
Wayne proudly served in the United States Armed Forces during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany. He had a lifelong love of fishing and continued his working career as a Commercial Fisherman for many years. Wayne was also an avid Patriots Fan.
He is survived by his beloved children, Christopher Douglas Wilcox of Warwick, Jessica L. Wilcox of Warwick, Brandy Bates of Chepachet, Venessa Wilcox of North Providence, Cassie Wilcox of Coventry, Elisha O’Mara of Coventry, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
His Funeral Arrangements are private and have been entrusted to THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
