To the Editor:
I read the article in the Warwick Beacon of Sept. 13 about the committee formed to study options for the reuse of the Potowomut Elementary School.
I hope that their first order of business will be to get some input from residents about their hopes and/or ideas for the school.
Potowomut is completely separated from the rest of Warwick, and thus isolated with no central point for residents to gather.
Potowomut School used to be our one resource, but that’s been closed now for four years. Please keep this in mind in your deliberations.

I agree. That school should be re-opened. Close a high school or 2

Unfortunately, the school has been given back to the City and cannot be reopened as a school. I agree it should be used for something possibly a Community Center or something along those lines. The residents of Potowomut deserve a place where we can gather.
