Enjoy a concert of Americana, Brazilian, and Baroque by New England mandolin octet Enigmatica at Warwick Public Library on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.
Part chamber orchestra and part plucked-string double-quartet, Enigmatica features instruments from the mandolin family—mandolin, mandola, octave mandolin, and six and seven-string guitars.
Enigmatica has performed at the New England Conservatory, Blithewold Mansion, and WaterFire and has been featured at the Classical Mandolin Society of America convention in Philadelphia and the Cape Cod Festival of Mandolins.
Their fifth CD, “The Road Less Traveled” features the music of Bach, the Beatles, Rhiannon Giddens, Astor Piazzolla, Benjamin Britten, and members of the group.
