Kathleen A. (Gillis) Johnson, age 65, of Rodney Rd, Warwick, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at West View Nursing Home in West Warwick, RI. She was the loving wife of the late Bruce R. Johnson.
Born in Warwick, the daughter of the late Daniel B. Gillis and Gloria Gillis (Reynolds), she lived in Warwick for most of her life. Kathy loved music, reading, knitting, gardening, the beach, and most of all, her family and friends.
Kathy was the beloved mother of Michelle E. Johnson and Brian R. Johnson, both of Warwick. She was a devoted mother who always let us know we were loved each and every day. She made sure every holiday and birthday were special. Our mom was someone who touched the lives of so many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving sister Terri Leach (Brad), her nephews David (Rick), Brad Jr (Michelle), Cameron, Chase, and her niece Lilly. She also leaves behind many dear friends, whom she considered family.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Warwick from 9:00-11:00 with a service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private.
