On Sept. 25 Warwick Police received information from the California Parole Apprehension Team (CPAT) that a parole fugitive might be living in Warwick.
According to a press release from Lt. David DeAngelis,
CPAT identified the fugitive as William Llorens, 53, and said he was believed to be in the Village Green Condominiums at 200 Post Rd. Llorens was on parole in California for armed robbery, multiple vehicle thefts and multiple drug charges. On Dec. 3, 2010, Llorens parole was suspended in California and a no bail warrant was issued.
Surveillance was set up and Llorens was arrested without incident at the Village Green Condos around 10:30 a.m.
Llorens had evaded authorities for almost two years until being captured in Warwick. Llorens will be locally charged as a fugitive from justice and then be turned over to California authorities.
