Michael R. Riley, 75, passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Linda C. (Bishop) Riley for 25 years. Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late Joseph and Ruth (Cyr) Riley. Michael worked as a forklift mechanic for many years before retiring. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and retired as Master Sergeant. Michael was the Past Exalted Ruler of the Tri-City Elks Lodge #14 in Warwick. In addition to his wife, Linda, Michael is survived by his loving sister-in-law, Anna Bishop; niece, Bobbie-Jo Pulsifer and great-niece, Cheyanne Pulsifer; three siblings, Paul Riley of Maryland, Eddy Riley of Australia, and Joanne Barron of Maryland; a daughter, Michele and stepson, James Amaral. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Michael was predeceased by his stepson, William Amaral, Jr., MSG, US Army. A funeral service will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 at 10:30 am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. His burial with military funeral honors will follow in the RI Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Thursday, from 4-7 pm.
